The BESC, a strategic partner of Borland
As a recognized Borland Solution Partner for products and services, DMR is the only company in Quebec authorized to resell and provide professional services for Borland Canada. With this agreement, Borland recognizes our consultants' expertise and the rigor of our methodological approach.
How does this partnership benefit the BESC? Besides having access to technical training, our specialists can work with Borland experts to solve complex problems. The licenses provided by Borland give them a hands-on opportunity to enhance the beta versions of products. They can even request fixes for products already on the market!
Achievements
An integrated modeling tool
To make the project team more effective from the information system modeling phase through to deliverable production, our BESC experts suggested integrating Together with Macroscope. Besides creating a common, shareable and reusable body of knowledge, this integration makes it possible to:
- access a modeling guide
- establish contextual links with the method
- generate deliverables from the model
- validate rigor and quality via integrated audits and performance measures
The Together products have already been successfully integrated with the Green Guide, a custom version of the Macroscope ProductivityCentre method, at Quebec's Ministry of Natural Resources, Wildlife and Parks (MRNFPQ). Projects to deploy or test this UML modeling tool are currently under way at the Ministry of Economic Development, Innovation and Exports (MEDIEQ) and Ministry of Transport (MTQ).
Furthermore, following a major upgrade of Together, it was reintegrated with ProductivityCentre so it could use UML profiles and exploit the opportunities offered by the Eclipse platform.
