The Oracle Expertise and Solution Center (OESC) contains the largest number of Oracle specialists in Quebec. Our dedicated experts are interested in both the latest technologies—Faces, Fusion Middleware, IDM and BPEL—and the more conventional ones—Forms, Reports and Designer.
The OESC has become so involved in the shift to packages that many of its members are enterprise requirements planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM) experts.

A dedicated team

Also, some consultants are asked to give talks at and participate in prestigious events such as Oracle Open World because of their expertise.
The OESC, an Oracle partner
An Oracle partner since 1995, DMR was recently recognized as a Certified Advantage Partner, the most prestigious certification awarded. This recognition means that our technical expertise in and knowledge of Oracle products is at the highest level.
This strategic alliance with Oracle gives our experts access to the tools and training they need to perfect their knowledge. Even more importantly, our privileged relationship with Oracle allows us to work with their experts to attack technically complex problems.
Achievements
ERP solutions
OESC experts are involved in a major project for the Government of Quebec: the SAGIR strategy. The goal of the project is to gradually replace the Quebec government's resource management systems with a package-type solution. Phase 1 of SAGIR, SGR1, concerned financial and material resources. The business functions chosen required implementing several Oracle Financials modules: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Self Service Purchases and Human Resource Database for system security.
Besides the development of SGR1 and its implementation at the Treasury Board Secretariat pilot site, completed in April 2005, our experts are involved in maintaining, upgrading and providing customer service for the solution.
Our OESC employees are also associated with another project closely tied to that solution: SAGIR EI. It involves building the information environment for SAGIR's first release, implementing it and helping provide post-implementation support.
A Web application with ADF Faces
The OESC provided ADF Faces expertise to and coached La Capitale assurances générales with the development of a Web application that lets consumers get online quotes. It was built against tight budgets and deadlines. The reuse of IT assets— PL/SQL and other core services—and information assets—common data—was a key concern of the work team.
A successful move to the Web
Quebec's Ministry of Immigration and Cultural Communities (MICC) engaged us to help it move onto the Web. Our specialists used Oracle technologies to migrate the MICC's business systems to a new Web-oriented technology platform. They also converted Oracle applications, designed new functions, customized interfaces and performed all activities involved in transitioning and implementing the target systems.
